Buffalo Fantasy Football Team Preview and Draft Recap 2007
AFC Conference
Vito:
Strengths – P. Manning
Weakness – No Elite TE and defense is average
Best Pick: QB. T. Romo 12th rd
Worst Pick: Only coming away with Cedric Benson in the first 3 rounds (Selected S.Moss with last pick of the 3rd round). Probably could have gotten Benson or a player with same value at tail end of round 1.
Andy:
Strengths- Good draft!!! Did well with what he had. Good selection of young players to build around.
Weakness- No one on the roster that scares you.
Best Pick: RB. M. Bush 15th rd
Worst Pick: DB. R. Nelson 8th rd
Nick:
Strengths- RB’s….B. Westbrook, T. Henry, and M. Lynch all solid backs.
Weakness- QB, Cutler is unproven and Favre throws way too many INT’s
Best Pick: M. Lynch 1st rd
Worst Pick: DL. J.Kearse 5th rd
Pick:
Strengths- RB’s S. Alexander, W. Parker, and B. Jacobs all could score double digit touchdowns. L.White has the potential to be a solid starter as well.
Weakness- WR, no true #1 fantasy WR on the roster. J. Galloway, J. Horn and H. Ward are all older players with high injury risk.
Best Pick: RB. W. Parker 1st rd
Worst Pick: TE J. Stevens 14th rd
Dan:
Strengths- QB, May have 2 top 10 Quarterbacks with Drew Brees and Phillip Rivers.
Weakness- Overall Depth and Salary Cap issues.
Best Pick: DB. Ed Reed 16th rd
Worst Pick: Trade for J. Lewis with 7.5 million dollars salary for 3rd and 4th round picks.
Paul:
Strengths- Starting QB and TE. Palmer is arguably the 2nd best fantasy QB and Gates has proven he is the best at TE.
Weakness- No true #1 RB. All RB’s on the roster split time.
Best Pick- B. Quinn 15th rd
Worst Pick- WR D. Mason 14th rd
NFC Conference
Chad:
Strengths- RB’s! F. Gore, C. Portis, F. Taylor, and C.Williams could all light it up OR all could be major bust. However, I think all will do fine!!
Weakness- TE, A. Crumpler will miss Vick more than people think and E. Johnson is a average TE at Best.
Best Pick: Jerry Porter 18th rd
Worst Pick: E. Johnson 16th rd
Dylan:
Strengths- Roster is deep and talent. Has two potiental Top QBs in J. Kitna and M. Leinart. RBs Edgerrin James, J. Addai, and T. Jones all solid starters. Could have 2 of the top WR’s with M. Harrison and T. Holt, and now add S.Merriman and C. Champ. Look out!!
Weakness- TE….no legit starter on the roster
Best Pick: Calvin. Johnson 2nd rd
Worst Pick: Passing on T. Brady!!!!!
Gullo:
Strengths- WR’s are deep and Def is solid!!
Weakness- Injuries and consistency!!! Many players on the roster are inconsistent and some are injury prone!!!
Best Pick: Good Trades…had 7 picks in the first 4 rounds!!!
Worst Pick: V. Morency 12th rd (Only because he thought he was A.Green’s back-up)
Steve:
Strengths- Depth at RB. LT is dominating and Maroney is the man in NE, J. Norwood and A. Peterson could both be top 15 RB’s as well.
Weakness- QB, E. Manning is inconsistent and who knows with D. Culpepper.
Best Pick: WR. Randy Moss 2nd rd
Worst Pick: K. O. Mare 14th rd
Mark:
Strengths- Starting QB and RB. Tom Brady and Steven Jackson can make a case for being the top players at their respective positions.
Weakness- TE. Only McMichaels on the roster and he is an average TE at best!!!
Best Pick: QB. Tom Brady 1st rd
Worst Pick: WR. Terry Glenn 5th rd
Eric:
Strengths- Very well balanced!!! Proven starters at all positions and quality backups at most positions.
Weakness- Not much….could have RB issues after Larry Johnson. Brandon Jackson is a rookie and Marion Barber splits time.
Best Pick: M. Schaub 15th rd
Worst Pick: RB. J.Harrison 12th rd
