The NFC wildcard game features two teams again lead by elite QB’s. The “Sex Panthers” lead by Tom Brady and “Bringing Sexy Back” with Buffalo Fantasy MVP Aaron Rodgers. The “Sex Panthers” are coming in winning a close battle over rival the “A-Team” in the Wildcard round. As for the “Bringing Sexy Back” they haven’t played a meaningful game in over a month. The “Sex Panthers" will need every point possible to pull off the upset. I just don’t see it. I got “Bringing Sexy Back” rolling to Superbowl VIII.  

Players to Watch:

The AFC Championship game features the two teams in the Conference with 2 Conference titles each (most in the AFC). Doublebull (06 and 09) and BYP (04 and 05). Therefore…the winner will make their 3^rd trip to the Superbowl…most in buffalo fantasy history. Team "Doublebull" is coming in winning their 2^nd division title in 3 years. While BYP is coming in winning convincingly in the Wildcard round. "Doublebull" is that team that wins the division title and makes the playoffs….but didn’t really play anyone good all year. I have a feeling this won't even be close…especially with Rivers playing the Ravens defense. BYP has more points, more talent and most importantly better matchups! I predict BYP in a blowout! (Watch the starting WR position….if tied….that is the tie breaker!...HAHA)         

Players to Watch:

The NFC wildcard game features two teams lead by elite QB’s. The “Sex Panthers” are in the playoffs for the third straight year. However, they are lucky to be in the playoffs at all. They are riding a 4 game losing streak which includes a loss last week to the “A-Team”. Not to mention without the “cheating” scandal that shocked the fantasy world the “Sex Panthers” wouldn’t even qualified for the playoffs. As for the “A-Team” they are back in the playoffs after missing them just one year ago. The “A-Team” has made the playoffs 7 times; tied for most appearances with “Vick in a Box” in Buffalo Fantasy history. They are coming in winning 2 big games in a row with one of them being the greatest comeback in Buffalo Fantasy history. The key to the game will be the QB play. Both of them are elite and if one slips up…it is probably over for that team. I predict Team “Sex Panthers” will win a close one. Tom Brady is too good and this is right around the time of the year the "A-Team" chokes.      

Players to Watch:

The AFC wildcard game features two teams headed in entirely two different directions. “Vick in a Box” has lost 4 in a row, while Team “Boom You’re Pregnant has peeled off 3 straight wins. Team “Vick in a Box” are making their 5^th straight playoff appearance. Injuries to key players have really hurt this team down the stretch. Team “Boom You’re Pregnant” have ended their ½ a decade drought from the playoffs. Their last appearance was back in 2005 when they lost in Superbowl II. I’m feeling an upset here, if you can call it that. If Vick and McFadden play….maybe Team “Vick in a Box”  has a shot. The Adrian Peterson injury is also one to keep an eye on!

Players to Watch:

Rodgers continued his MVP like season with another outstanding performance in the final week of the season. Rodgers scored 38 points for Team “Bringing Sexy Back”. However, that wasn’t enough to over take team “Who Dat”. Between Stafford, Brady and now Rodgers....god thay have fuckin hot women!   

Ok…this game will either be meaningless or huge. Injuries will play a major role in this game and so will the QB play. The “cheater” scandal will also have some impact on this game as well. Could also be a preview of next week’s wild card game. 

Players to Watch:

DREW BREEEEEEES of the “A-Team” lead the greatest comeback in sports history with his 44 pt performance over team "Whoooo" 132 to 130.5....YES....the comback was bigger then Medina over Lackawanna....bigger then the Bills over Oilers. He threw for 363 yards and 4 TD’s....while also rushing for 1 TD as well. (it's unfortunate the headline of the week is Team "whooo" is owned by a cheater).

Well my shitty team is down to its last chance to make the playoffs……The “A-Team” must win this week or they are done! If Team “Wooooo” loses…then they will lose the tie breaker against the A-Team and will need help in the final week of the regular season to get in!  

Players to Watch:

Matt Stafford ripped off 37 points to help Team “Boom! You’re Pregnant” defeat team “Vick in a Box” 160 to 122.5. After the game Matt had alittle party! Well done Matt!!!   

I have no chance…..but neither the A-Team (5-5) or team Piper’s Pit (9-1) have been the “Game of the Week”.

This week’s game features two wanna be powerhouses in the AFC.  Team “Doublebull” (7-2) who has the easiest schedule in Buffalo Fantasy history!!! 10 games against the weak ass AFC and 3 against the bottom teams in the NFC (Stowe 1-8, Zeitz 2-7 and Gullo 5-4). WHAT A JOKE!!! Then...you got Team “Dick in a Box” with the exact same easy ass schedule!!!! Are you kidding me????…Funny how you both beat the 2 weakest NFC teams….but couldn’t get passed Gullo who is in 4^th place in the NFC….Conclusion….NONE OF YOU MOTHER FUCKERS IN THE AFC especially you two loud mouths at the top wouldn't be better than 5^th place in the NFC!!!…YOU ALL SUCK and I’m sick of you thinking you are any good!

Buffalo Fantasy Draft 2011 Redo

Round 1

1. Strusienski – Drafted: RB Arian Foster (Grade A)
1. Should have drafted QB Cam Newton = no one in their right mind would have made this pick. A rookie QB with major question marks. But fast forward and this would have been the pick. Foster is a solid pick. But Cam is a young stud that scores a bunch of TD’s and throws for a ton of yards. A franchise QB!

2. Pickreign – Drafted: WR Ray Rice (Grade A)
1. Should have drafted QB Matt Stafford = this was a tough choice. But Stafford is franchise QB and he needs to be the pick here. Welker is putting up monster numbers and the team already has Eli. But trade Eli for a need on the roster. Don’t need to take a RB here because you have Peterson. Although…Rice is solid. Ended up getting Stafford later on in rd 4 anyways….So Pick good drafting!      

3. Randall – Drafted: WR Andre Johnson (Grade A+)
1. Should have drafted WR Wes Welker = would have Johnson ahead of Welker…but Johnson can’t stay healthy for a full 16 games. May have thought about Jimmy Graham here too…. But Welker is too good to pass up! Great pick in the 2^nd Dylan!

4. Luksch – Drafted: RB Jamaal Charles (Grade Incomplete)
1. Should have drafted WR Andre Johnson = Jamaal Charles could be a fine pick…but the ACL gives him an incomplete grade. Johnson is a Stud and would have been the pick here.

5. Teichman – Drafted: RB Rashard Mendenhall (Grade B)
1. Should have drafted RB Arian Foster = some risk with this pick, but so far he has delivered. Mendenhall is having an off year. Injuries, poor OL and a new offensive philosophy have hurt Mendenhall this year.

6. Stowe – Drafted: WR Roddy White (Grade A)
1. Should have drafted RB Ray Rice = to much value here to pass up. A top RB falling to the 6^th pick would have been too good to be true. Roddy White was a good pick, unfortunately White and his two year contract was traded to Team Woooo!   

7. Zeitz – Drafted: RB Maurice Jones- Drew (Grade A)
1. Should have drafted TE Jimmy Graham = Makes a lot of sense….has a QB, RB, and WR already on the roster at 7.5 million each. Now you add the Saints stud TE. He might have also looked at Sproles here. Jones-Drew was the safe pick. He passed on a few guys having better years though!

8. Gigante – Drafted: WR Vincent Jackson (Grade A-)
1. Should have taken WR Steve Smith (Car) = this is where the next 5-10 players are pretty much even. The fact Gigante was able to get this guy in the 6^th rd makes Gigante one of the front runners for the best draft class of 2011. A- is because he could of had Welker! 

9. Pellegrino – Drafted: WR Dwayne Bowe (Grade A-)
1. Should have taken WR Roddy White = Roddy White is the next best available WR. Bowe was a safe pick…..got the A- because he took Bowe over Welker, Jackson and Nicks.

10. Hannigan – Drafted: WR Hakeem Nicks (Grade A)
1. Should have taken WR Hakeem Nicks = When healthy an absolute stud! Might have looked at Sproles or even Fred Jackson.  

11. Johnson – Drafted: WR DeSean Jackson (Grade A)
1. Should have taken WR DeSean Jackson = Again, could have gone with a few different guys here….Jackson is the best WR on the board.  

12. Stowe (f/Gullo) – Drafted: TE Dallas Clark (Grade F)
1. Should have taken QB Matt Ryan = Needed a QB and the pick should have been a QB. He passed on Ryan, Stafford, Newton and Fitz and then panicked when all the top QB’s where gone. Thus, ruining his season because of it! Clark…ugh

This week’s game features two powerhouses in the NFC.  The “Sex Panther” (6-2) are on a 6 game winning streak and are looking to make it 7. However, the retooled roster of “Team Woooooo” (5-3) will try to cool off their NFC rival.

Players to Watch:

Newly acquired Steven Jackson made a pretty memorable debut for "Team Woooo". Jackson ran all over "Team Doublebull". Jackson scored 32 pts off of 159 yards rushing and 2 TD's while also catching 4 passed for 32 yards.

The SHIT BOWL…..Two of the shittest fantasy teams on the planet “Team Poop….haha…just doesn’t get old” (2-5)…side note how the fuck does Dan have 2 wins??? will play team “Ohhh….Noooo” (0-7)…god stowe really??? Not one fuckin win!!!. Both teams are god awful and should think about apologizing to the rest of the league for their shitty performances this year!!! Dan if you win….you can kiss the #1 pick good bye….no fucking way Stowe wins 4 games this year!!!  

Players to Watch: NONE….both rosters SUCK ASS!!!

The recent play of Team OOOOORAH has led me down a path of looking up stats from the other end of the fantasy spectrum, the futile and misguided.  Team OOOORAH put up 51.5 points in Week 7 and it was surprisingly only the 11th lowest total in BF history.  Here is the breakdown of other weekly duds:

Bradshaw helped Team “Doublebull” defeat "Who Dat" 142-109.5. Bradshaw ran for 104 yards and 3 TD’s while also catching 2 passes for 26 yards.  

While at work Saturday my phone was buzzing all god damn night thanks to the BF H2H Rumor Mill.  Since its inception, October 15, 2011 had the most rumor posts on anyday in BF history.  Excluding private messages, here is the breakdown of busy days on the Rumor Mill:

The second game features a team of Doublebull who’s (4-1) record is a tad misleading. Two of their wins came in the form of tiebreakers.  The team is very fortunate to be (4-1) and not (2-3). Where as, Team “Who Dat” who is (2-3) has managed to survive a brutal NFC schedule. This team will have to win these inter-league games if they have any shot at making the playoffs this year!

Players to Watch:

To make up for not having a “Game of the Week” last week…here are two this week!!! The first one has two (3-2) teams fighting for a playoff spot! The "Sex Panthers" have been putting up some serious points and will look to keep it going this week against a much improved "Boom…You’re Pregnant" team. A match really neither team can afford to lose.

Players to Watch:

God I love this guy! AP put up 30 pts to help Team “Boom You’re Pregnant” defeat Browns over Jills 108-95. AP ran for 122 yards and 3 TD’s.  

Rodgers put up record setting numbers in week 4. Rodgers had an whopping 52 pts to help Team “It’s Lea Minaj Time” defeat Team “A-Team” 169.5 to 104.5. Rodgers threw for 408 yards and 4 TD’s, while also rushing for 2 more TD’s. 

Team Randall has shot out to an early overall points lead this season by posting the highest weekly score in 3 of the 4 weeks.  To date, Team Randall has now achieved the weekly scoring title 8 times in H2H history.  Here is the breakdown of all teams in this regard in BF H2H history:

Two (0-3) teams that are (lets be honest) probably out of it already and this is their only shot at being named the game of the week!

Players to Watch:

Wes Welker dominated on Sunday with an impressive 42 pts to help Team “BMFJ did it…NOT ME” defeat Team “Who Dat” 164 to 126. Welker had 16 catches for 217 yards and 2 TD’s. Welker is making an early case for the Andre Reed Award! 

Two (0-2) teams who desperately need a win….but unfortunately for one of these teams….they will drop to (0-3) and enter themselves in the “Suck for Luck” Sweepstacks!

Players to Watch:

Charles Woodson was the difference in a very close battle between two NFC heavy weights. Woodson scored 18 big points to help Team “Wooooo” defeat Team “Sex Panthers” 146.5 to 143. Woodson had 2 INT’s to go along with 5 solo tackles and a fumble recover.

For the second straight week Team Hannigan scored the second highest weekly total within the division, only to play the team that scored the highest. 

While considering only regular season divisional games, this has happened 28 times in BF-H2H history.  This year is the only time it has happened to the same person in consecutive weeks.

Surprisingly this is the only match-up that features two (1-0) teams. "Team Boom! You’re Pregnant!"  and "Team THIS Year" are usually fighting it out for the #1 draft pick…NOT the Division lead. But this is a new year and one of these teams will be 2-0 and off to a pretty good start in AFC.

Rd 1: (Pick 12) P.Manning (2004) – Chad Stowe wasn’t laughing when he found himself picking last at our inaugural draft. However, he did get the last laugh when he went on to win Superbowl II and Manning won MVP. Over a seven-year period Manning has gone on to win 4 Superbowls, 2 League MVP’s and has won the Jim Kelly Award as the top QB twice.

Rd 2: (Pick 7) R.Moss (2007) – In 2006 Moss was coming off his worse season ever. Many people thought he was done. One person who didn’t; Steven Luksch. He moved up 4 spots in the 2nd round to assure Moss would be on his team. The gamble paid off. Moss put up record setting numbers that year and went on to win the Andre Reed Award in 2007.

Rd 3: (Pick 6) T. Brady (2004) – It’s hard to believe 10 QB’s where drafted ahead of Tom Brady in 2004. Brady has spent his whole career with Team Hannigan and has won 1 Superbowl, 1 MVP and won the Jim Kelly award all in 2007.

Rd 4: (Pick 12) F.Gore (2006) – This was probably the toughest to judge, Westbrook (2006; pick 12) by Gullo and Rodgers (2008; pick 8) by Randall got some considerations, but Gore has lasted longer then Westbrook and Rodgers is only in the conversation based on his potential. Gore has gone on to be a 1^st RD pick and Franchise player every year since he was drafted back in 2006 by Stowe!

Rd 5: (Pick 5) C.Benson (2009) – This one of the weaker rounds in draft history mostly because defensive players are the most commonly drafted position in this round. Benson has gradually gotten better each year and seems to always get signed to 2-year deals. In 2009 he was drafted by Mike Gullo and turned out to be a steal. 

Rd 6: Chris Johnson “Luksch”(2008), Tiki Barber “Pickriegn”(2004) 

Rd 7: Larry Johnson “Zeitz” (2005)

Rd 8: Larry Fitzgerald “Luksch (2004), Andre Johnson “Zeitz” (2004)

A lot of high scores in Week 1 this year and it proved to be the highest combined score in week 1 of any year.

In addition, the game between Randall and Hannigan ended up tying the highest combined game score in BF history.  Weirdly enough it tied last years week 1 game between Zeitz and Hannigan with the exact same score.  So basically....... fuck me.

I extended the list to the top 7 becuase P. Johnson's victory over Gigante proved to be another high scoring game in BF History.

Vito:

Strengths – Overall depth and balance at key positions. Arguable a stud at (QB) Rivers, (RB) Best and Bradshaw, (WR) V-Jack and (TE) J.Finley
Weakness - If there is one weakness. It's WR. V-Jackson is solid. But everyone else has questions. AJ Green and Steve Smith are great talents….but both have rookie QB's, Which Sims-Walker will show up in STL? All kinds of questions surrounding Roy Williams in CHI.

Worst Pick: WR AJ Green 3rd rd (Going to be Great…but not w/ a rookie QB)

Strengths- Foster and Johnson arguable the top RB Combo in the league!

Team Pellegrino earned his 2nd division title. They have done it with outstanding play from their skill positions. The RB’s and WR’s have played great! However, some people are going to look at the pts against and say “Come On…Really??? 1272 pts against that’s it??? I know one owner in the NFC that has won 3 division titles and never was there less then 1400 pts scored on him”. It’s hard to believe that the remaining playoff teams won’t put at least 115 or 120 per game! The key for Team Pellegrino will be QB….They have struggled to find the guy this year….It’s funny...last year they had that guy….but he was traded….and that one missing link may cost them a shot at another Superbowl title!

Team Gigante at times looks unbeatable scoring 140 to 150pts a win! And then at times they look like garbage!! Usually when they look unbeatable their QB Philip Rivers is putting up 20 or 30pts. But when he and the team aren’t lighting up the scoreboard they struggle bad….The team only scored 120 or more pts five times. To win it all….every game better be over 120! Team Gigante like every other team in the AFC needs to be more consist if they want to win it all!

Team Johnson is the scary team in the AFC….they are getting healthy and they have the talent to win it all. They have all the pieces in place….they just need them all to be hot at the same time. If this team plays to their max potential….it will be hard to beat them! Team Johnson it the typical come out of no where team….to win it all! Just like Gigante (06), Hannigan (07), and Gullo (09)!

Key Players:

Team Gullo earned their 1st division title and a bye in the wildcard round. Since going 4-0 to start the season, Team Gullo has gone 5-4 and 2 of those wins came against the last place teams of Team Strus by 5pts and Team Randall by 3pts. Team Gullo will need Peyton Manning to get hot and stay hot for the next 3 weeks if they want to win back to back titles.

(2) Team Hannigan

Team Hannigan is the hottest team in the NFC. They have won 4 out of their last 5 and doing it w/out the best TE in football Antonio Gates. With Gates finally healthy and Brady playing out of his mind, look for Team Hannigan to make a serious run at the Title!  

Team Zeitz limped into the playoffs. With key guys like Gore, Nicks and Torain out with injuries it will be hard for them to score pts. The Team will need guys like Schaub, Fitzgerald, and White to have monster games over these 3 weeks if they want any shot at a title!

BONUS....There wasn't a game of the week last week....so I figure I make it up and do a second "Game of the Week" this week.  

Team Johnson needs to win and get help if they want to reach the playoffs. Team Gigante isn't playing for anything. If Gigante wins....he gets Team Teichman next week....If Johnson wins and Team Teichman loses...then we will see Johnson vs Gigante again next week!

Dwayne scored 41 pts to help Team Pellegrino defeat Team Strusienski 135 to 71. Bowe caught 13 passes for 170 yards and 3 TD’s. Bowe is making a case he should win the Andre Reed Award!

Big Ben scored 40 pts to help Team Teichman defeat Team Pickreign 161 to 102. Roethlisberger threw for 275 and 3 TD’s while also rushing for 75 yards and 1 TD.

Team Gigante has dominated the AFC this year; however their only loss in the conference came to Team Johnson back in week 1. Team Gigante is making their 2nd straight appearance in the AFC title game and their 3rd in 4 years, while Team Johnson is making their 3rd appearance in the AFC championship game in 6 years. Team Gigante also ended Team Johnson’s season last year in the wildcard game. Both teams know each other very well and this will be a much closer game then people think. Will Team Johnson be the first team to make the Superbowl with a losing record or will Team Gigante continue their dominance in the AFC?

Players to watch:

Team Luksch has dominated the NFC this year, which includes a season sweep of Team Gullo. However, Team Gullo has the potential to put up some serious points at any given week. The edge has to go to Team Luksch based on playoff experience alone. Team Luksch is making their 4th consecutive NFC Championship appearance and trying to win their 3rd NFC crown. Team Gullo is coming off their first playoff win in franchise history! The deciding factor will be who plays and who doesn’t! Rumors are circulating that Peyton Manning might not play. This is bad in 2 ways. (1) Team Gullo would be losing their Team MVP and (2) they have no backup QB on the roster…ooops!!! For Team Luksch, Drew Brees will play; however Reggie Wayne might sit and that means the team would have to turn to Nate Burleson as their starting WR! Overall, this should be a great match-up…will Team Luksch continue their dominance and make it to their 3rd Superbowl or will Team Gullo continue their magical run?

The teams split the season series with a win apiece. This is a very even match up and I can see the winner making a serious run in the playoffs!

Have to give the edge to Team Teichman. They swept the season series and the second game wasn’t even close, However, Team Teichman has been up and down all year! Team Johnson are no strangers to the playoffs and they got off to a hot start this year, however they haven’t played so well down the stretch!

Players to watch:

Two of three teams fighting it out for the last two playoff spots in the NFC. A win puts Team Hannigan in the playoffs, a loss makes next week a must win against the powerhouse Team Luksch and will need help to make the playoffs!!! A win by Team Stowe would almost certainly put them in the playoffs; at the very least give them control of their own playoff faint as it pertains to next week’s game! A loss would mean, a must win next week and help to make the playoffs!! A BIG, HUGE, ENORMOUS, MASSIVE, GIGANTIC, GARGANTUAN, COLOSSAL game to say the least!!

Sorry Dan, but this maybe the only chance this year to give the award to a BILLS’ player!!! So, I apologize to that pot smoking bitch, Ronnie Brown wanta be, Ricky Williams!! But, TO gets the award this week….yeah baby!!! TO caught 9 passes for 197 yards and 1 TD. The 29 points helped Team Johnson defeat Team Pellegrino 125 to 69.

Looking at the scores this week and realized that a lot of points were put up, especially in the NFC.  So I looked up the most points put up by a conference in a single week and sure enough this week was #2 with that criteria.  Below is the top 5 (notice all by NFC).  After that is most points put up by all 12 teams in a single week.
